It All Adds Up!

Two years ago, at the age of 14, Blossom #1 started working at the drug store in town.

She works at the old fashioned soda fountain counter.  She serves  coffee, ice cream, toast and a few other items to the customers.  Some of the customers leave small tips for her service.  Blossom #1 has been putting those tips in a jar and finally decided to count them.

It looked like so much fun, that others joined in.  All those little tips over 2 years added up to $182.08!

Have a great day and remember to save your pennies!

Twelve Wonderful Years!

In January, we celebrated Blossom #3's 12th birthday!

One of our traditions is to have a dollar bill scavenger hunt.  Twelve dollars were hidden for him to find.

And, of course, there were gifts... running clothes, popcorn and a tri-pod for his video camera.

This guy cracks me up!  Yesterday, during communion, he clinked my communion cup and said "to God" before he drank his juice.

Have a great day!

State Cross Country

Blossom #1 went to state in cross country again this year!
We hoped that the whole team would qualify for state, but just blossom #1 and one of her teammates qualified.

Making sure her hair was just right for the race.

Doing her best!

Finishing fourth out of 175 girls!

Both girls finished in the top 25 and are All-State!

Blossom #1 got a little attention from the media and was named Prep  Athlete of the Week in our area!

Sitting with the girls from their team that came to cheer for them!

Good job, we're proud of you!

The First Day of School!

Today is our first day of school.  You can tell by the expression on Blossom #2's face that he's not too thrilled about going to school or that his dad asked him to put on a different shirt than he planned on wearing... save the bright orange Cross Country shirt for Thursday when there's a meet!

Two Blossoms off to high school and

two blossoms at home for school!

Have a smart day!

The Grand Finale Update!

Three of the blossoms entered 4-H projects in the county fair.  Blossom #1 earned Grand Prize for her Scandinavian baked goods!

While at the fair Blossom #4 fell in love with this puppy!  She promised not to ask for a horse, anymore, if we bought the puppy... sounded like a pretty good deal.  So, we've been training this puppy, named Fritz, and I've also mended Blossom #4's dress!  :)

Blossoms #3 and #4 have been playing soccer since the beginning of August.  They love it!

It looks as though I'm not the second tallest in our family now.  Blossom #2 is in heaven about this and loves when I call him Shorty!

Have a great day!

William Holden (2) - Man From Colorado

I liked this movie.  William Holden is a very flexible actor.  In the last movie, he played a "starving" Hollywood writer. In t...
