Living Room Help Needed

In 3 months Blossom #1 will be graduating from high school.  As with most parents, an upcoming graduation puts the pressure on to get some projects done around the house.

We just purchased the above, very comfortable, recliner and it is positioned right where my husband wants it.  I love the floral chair where it is.

We need flooring that will butt up to this old Fir flooring in our dining room.

I love this white down filled sectional, but it is trashed so it needs to go.  The little area rug was placed here for the picture, but it is in our music room.

This love seat needs to go.  In the upcoming pictures, it has been moved and the recliner is here now.

Here's my floral chair.  It's fading quickly but okay for now.

This bench is under the front window - opposite of the fire place.

The fireplace.  (Which needs to be finished too.)

The view when you enter the room from the dining room.

The entertainment center that stays put.

The new view from the dining room.  The new recliner in position.  The get rid of love seat positioned where part of the sectional used to be.

A different view of the above picture.  Just playing around with what we have.

My chippy green cabinet and drop cloth curtains stay.  Love them!

A cabinet from my parents that I have always loved.

That's it!

Easter in the Country!

The dining room was ready for guests.

Simple flowers decorated the tables.

There were 19 of us, so we set a table in the music room too.

Aunt Margaret always brings delicious fruit.

The moms ran around hiding eggs.

The kids anxiously awaited for the Easter Egg hunt to begin!

It was cold outside, so we were glad to get inside.  Me with my sister in the middle and cousin Ann.

My cousin Chris aka our family photographer.

My aunt Anna Marie.

My mom and dad.

In addition to celebrating Easter, we also celebrated Blossom #1's upcoming 17th Birthday!

She baked a carrot cake to celebrate.

We measured Blossom #2.  Last year at Easter he was a smidge shorter than me.   He's definitely taller now!

We laughed at the book F in Exam!

Everyone got to see Blossom #4's chicks.

It was a wonder day!

Rachel's Hot Chocolate Recipe

It's beginning to look like winter!

So, come on in and

have a cup of hot chocolate!  Or, my favorite, equal parts coffee and hot chocolate mixed together.

Here's Rachel's Hot Chocolate Recipe:

1 - 8 quart box powder milk
1 - 1lb. container of hot chocolate mix
1 - 6 oz. Original Coffee Mate
1/2 - cup powder sugar

Mix and store in covered container.
Combine 1/3 cup of mixture with 1 cup hot water.

Enjoy!

Have a warm and cozy week-end!

William Holden (2) - Man From Colorado

I liked this movie.  William Holden is a very flexible actor.  In the last movie, he played a "starving" Hollywood writer. In t...
