Twelve Wonderful Years!

In January, we celebrated Blossom #3's 12th birthday!

One of our traditions is to have a dollar bill scavenger hunt.  Twelve dollars were hidden for him to find.

And, of course, there were gifts... running clothes, popcorn and a tri-pod for his video camera.

This guy cracks me up!  Yesterday, during communion, he clinked my communion cup and said "to God" before he drank his juice.

Have a great day!

Dear God,
Thank you, God, for making me the perfect mother for my children.  It puts me at peace knowing that you designed me for my children and that the way I mother, naturally, is the mother you want me to be.

Sometimes I wish I were like other mothers that do fun crafts with their children and have meaningful activity bags for when they're on the go.   But, thankfully, you gave me children that are happy with paper and pencils, and pack of gum for on the go!

Thank you, Lord.  In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Dear God,

Thank you for another beautiful fall day!  Each nice day you bless me with helps make the approaching Minnesota winter more tolerable.  You've teased me this fall with a few cold blustery days.  And, I've thought, this is it - winter is here, but then you pour out your blessings with more beautiful days.  Those blustery cold days were your reminders for me to enjoy the beautiful days.  You know that the winter is hard on me and that I want to move because of it, but you brought me here and you must want me to stay.  So, thank you Lord, for one more beautiful day!
In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.

Have a great day!

Why Blog?

Why Blog?  My hope is that this blog helps me to live an intentional life with passion and enthusiasm for my God and my family.  And, to treasure every minute and live a life with no regrets.  (I found a similar "mission statement" on another blog and loved it.)

My oldest blossom is a tenth grader.  I can't even think about next year because it FREAKS ME OUT how quickly the time is coming to when she'll be going off to college.  So, I just want to stay in the present and enjoy now!

I think the flowers in the pictures above may be my last bouquets from the yard for the year.  It's time for me to clean the house and get the pumpkins out.  (Of the garden, that is.)  Fun, fun!

Have a great day and week-end!

William Holden (2) - Man From Colorado

I liked this movie.  William Holden is a very flexible actor.  In the last movie, he played a "starving" Hollywood writer. In t...
