William Holden (2) - Man From Colorado

I liked this movie.  William Holden is a very flexible actor.  In the last movie, he played a "starving" Hollywood writer. In this movie, he plays a Federal Marshall after the Civil War.  I wasn't sure this movie was going to hold me captivated enough for my treadmill workout, but in the end it did.  This movie is pretty violent with hangings and shootings, but since it's an old show, it is not too graphic.  I think my husband and boys would like this movie too.

Have a great day!

William Holden (1) - Sunset Boulevard

I finally did it!  I watched this movie starring William Holden.  I've tried several times to watch this movie, but it just wasn't exciting enough to keep me entertained on the treadmill.  I was able to watch this movie for 28 minutes while walking on the treadmill the other morning, but I couldn't make it any longer.  So, I decided to watch another dvd, but went back to this movie later in the day while I worked on my kid's scrapbooks.

I want to say, I'm glad I watched this movie, but it is definitely not an exciting movie.  It was fine for watching while I was working on a project.

I would consider it high drama, as far as Gloria Swanson is concerned.  She was an aging, wealthy actress from the times of silent movies.  She "kind of" holds William Holden captive, first to help her write a screen play and then as a companion.  You'll have to watch it to see what I mean by high drama, but have a project ready to work on while you watch it

Enjoy!

Witness For The Protection

Just watched the Agatha Christie movie Witness For The Protection.  It is worth watching and a good one for kids too... especially a child that is interested in court cases.

Living Room Help Needed

In 3 months Blossom #1 will be graduating from high school.  As with most parents, an upcoming graduation puts the pressure on to get some projects done around the house.

We just purchased the above, very comfortable, recliner and it is positioned right where my husband wants it.  I love the floral chair where it is.

We need flooring that will butt up to this old Fir flooring in our dining room.

I love this white down filled sectional, but it is trashed so it needs to go.  The little area rug was placed here for the picture, but it is in our music room.

This love seat needs to go.  In the upcoming pictures, it has been moved and the recliner is here now.

Here's my floral chair.  It's fading quickly but okay for now.

This bench is under the front window - opposite of the fire place.

The fireplace.  (Which needs to be finished too.)

The view when you enter the room from the dining room.

The entertainment center that stays put.

The new view from the dining room.  The new recliner in position.  The get rid of love seat positioned where part of the sectional used to be.

A different view of the above picture.  Just playing around with what we have.

My chippy green cabinet and drop cloth curtains stay.  Love them!

A cabinet from my parents that I have always loved.

That's it!

2013 Update

I haven't been very good about blogging, but when I look back at the pictures, I wish that I would stick with it.  So, here goes another try!

Blossom #4 built a chicken coop with dad.

Blossom #4 was in summer gymnastics.

We took cousins (and a friend) to a small town parade.

Blossom number #3 played his last year of baseball.
(I'll miss going to baseball games.)

We went to Valley Fair and a

 Twins' game.

Blossom #2 ran the Raspberry Race.  Blossom #1 was supposed to run it too, but something was wrong with her ankle.

Blossom #3 went to Celebrate Me camp.  He hated it!
That's it for now!

The Majestic with Jim Carrey

This morning I finished watching the movie The Majestic starring Jim Carrey.  I was about to quit watching it after about 10 minutes, but then it got exciting, so I stuck with it.  I ended up really liking the movie and think it's one that my kids should watch too!

Have a joyful day!
